Bio
Fran is a petite, gorgeous black female greyhound who will be turning 2 years old in August 2016. She is tattooed but does not appear to be individually registered and has not raced. She is extremely friendly and gets along well with the other greyhounds, a Cavalier King Charles and cat in her foster home. She is adjusting well to household noises, sleeps all night on a dog bed in the Master bedroom, rides well in the car and easily goes in the backyard to enjoy the sun and go potty.
Fran shows her happiness and appreciation by licking her foster Mom's hand and staying close by, following her from room to room. She's quiet happy to just be in the same room and snoozing! Fran will sometimes chatter her teeth before mealtime and has the cutest tongue out when in deep sleep. Her foster Mom is working on getting her into a routine, teaching her not to counter surf, giving her reassurance to build up her confidence to new environments (especially during leash walking) and giving her more time to adjust from breeder/kennel to home life. At this time, Fran should not be crated due to some anxiety.
The ideal home for Fran would be in a relatively, quiet home environment with another dog and with a family that has the time and patience to build up her confidence. With gentle guidance and love, she will continue to thrive and develop into a wonderful companion.
