Meet Shy - A Sweet Soul Looking for Her Forever Home
Shy came to us after spending much of her early life outdoors, where she suffered from a wound and hair loss on her left shoulder. Initially, we feared the worst—bone cancer. But after nine months without progression, we sought a second opinion. The new vet diagnosed Shy with osteomyelitis, a bone infection likely caused by trauma to her shoulder.
Following a thorough evaluation, including a bone biopsy and CT scan at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, Shy underwent treatment with high-powered antibiotics for six weeks. Thankfully, the infection is gone. While her wound has healed, the surgeon is unsure if the hair will grow back on her shoulder. Shy also has a slight limp, similar to a shin splint, but it doesn’t slow her down or dampen her spirit.
Shy is starting to blossom. She's going on walks, gaining confidence, and even enjoying playing with toys. Her house manners are impeccable, and she gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes.
Shy is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to grow and gain confidence. If you think you can be her special someone, please complete an online adoption application and visit us at an upcoming Meet & Greet to meet this sweet girl.
