Dove (aka Dovrun Mirage)
I am a big handsome senior boy who sometimes doesn't know he's a
senior :-) Foster mom says I've never been in a home before, so I've
really had to learn a lot in a short time. I am a cream color teddy
bear with "black eyeliner around my eyes" and a cute little "cowlick"
on top of my head. I love my morning walks with my foster brother --
we race to the door to see who gets the leash on first. Foster mom
says I need some leash work. She's done a good job with me, but keeps
telling me I need to learn more -- OK, I do keep trying. Love those
treats mom gives us, but I can't have really hard cookies or those
Greenies -- I don't have a lot of teeth and what I do have are pretty
worn down. However, that's not to say I miss a single kibble in my
bowl; oh, no, not me. In fact, I'm right there beside mom helping to
get breakfast and dinner ready -- want to make sure she does it right.
Love those squeaky pookies, especially the ones that are flat with no
stuffing -- I can throw them around and have so much fun with them.
Foster mom just can't believe how much fun my foster sisters and I
have with them. Guess the best part of me is that I just want to be
with my person -- when my sisters and brother are getting ear rubs, I
have to stick my nose in there for mine. Oh, and I lay right near
foster mom's feet while she showers and gets dressed; that seems to be
comforting for her, so I do spoil her a lot.
I don't dig in the yard, I haven't bothered anything in the house and
love soft, fluffy beds. I am definitely not a "cat" dog :-( , so if you
have one of those fluffies, I'm not for you -- I don't do well with
small dogs either. I'm a very gentle, loving boy who does his fair
share of sleeping. I would need a person who is home a lot to give me
a lot of love and attention -- another med/large friend would be just
fine, but not necessary.
Foster mom keeps telling everyone that seniors are the best kept
secret :-) So hey, give those GU folks a call and let them know that
you'd like to take me to my forever home.
